Sometimes latest versions of the software can cause issues when installed on older devices or devices running an older version of the operating system.

Software makers usually fix these issues but it can take them some time. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of Wirecast 14.2.1.

All old versions distributed on our website are completely virus-free and available for download at no cost.

What's new in this version:

Fixed:
- Put some bits in to help us diagnose installer issues in the future
- Squashed a memory leak when using Image Carousel
- We now make two attempts to uninstall previous versions of Wirecast during an update or reinstall on Windows. First we’ll try silently. If that fails, we will nag you to once and for all quit all other apps using Virtual Mic/Camera, for Pete's sake
- Fixed a crash when starting an RTMP output when the CPU doesn’t support AVX instructions
- Fixed an issue where locked Thumbnail images would occasionally not load from a document
- Placeholders are now available to all license levels of Wirecast, not just the privileged Pro users
- Fixed an issue where Wirecast was not installing correctly (or at all) on certain Windows machines
- Fixed a crash when importing QuickTime Animation files on machines that don’t support AVX instructions
- Fixed crash when starting an x264 encoder when running Wirecast in the Rosetta emulator
