Getting Started

Click the Start button, then select Maps to open the app. (If you're on a Windows 11 or 10 PC, you can click here to open it directly.)

Dropping a Pin

• Find a location on the map that you want to save.
• Press and hold (or right-click) the location, then select Drop a pin.
• Once the pin appears, go to the details pane, select Save, and choose Favorites or an existing collection to add it to.

Adding Search Results to Favorites or Collections

• Select Search and type a name or address.
• From the search results, select the location, open the details pane, and click Save.
• Choose where you want to save it: Favorites, an existing collection, or create a new collection.

Viewing Favorites and Collections

• Go to Saved places to see all your saved favorites and collections.
• Key locations like home, work, and car will always appear at the top of favorites, allowing you to quickly get directions to them.
• Sign in to your account in the top-right corner before saving places to access them across all your Windows 11/10 devices.
