The Man from the Window is a free survival horror roleplaying game that can provide PC gamers with unique storytelling elements and a gripping atmosphere. Even though it is short in length, the sole developer of this title Zed_Technician has managed to infuse it with strong horror elements that players will not be able to forget easily.

The story of The Man from the Window follows themes that are somewhat similar to those found in the popular Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. The player is tasked to relive his childhood story about finding a way back to his home while lost in a strange environment. During the short campaign, the player will be able to meet several notable anthropomorphic animals, prepare themselves for the arrival of the main antagonist, and then execute their defense against the supernatural horror that is chasing him. The game features surprisingly strong horror elements that easily frighten even seasoned gamers.

Like many other similar indie horror games, The Man from the Window focuses its gameplay on first-person exploration, discussions with friendly NPC characters and puzzle solving that is even infused in the fights against the main villain of the game. This approach makes this title a bit more different than many others, especially when it provides games access to three distinct endings. Due to the short story length, this enables games to relatively quickly replay this title and experience all three endings.

This game is distributed online as a compressed archive. The players simply need to download it, extract it anywhere on their local storage, and start the game using the main EXE file. While this approach makes the game much more portable and shareable, it forces players to manually access it without useful features such as an automated installer, uninstaller, and icon placement on the desktop.
