R-Drive Image is a powerful utility providing disk image files creation for backup or duplication purposes. A disk image file contains the exact, byte-by-byte copy of a hard drive, partition or logical disk and can be created with various compression levels on the fly without stopping Windows OS and therefore without interrupting your business.

These drive image files can then be stored in a variety of places, including various removable media such as CD-R(W)/DVD, Iomega Zip or Jazz disks, etc.

R-Drive Image restores the images on the original disks, on any other partitions or even on a hard drive's free space on the fly. To restore system and other locked partitions the tool is switched to the pseudo-graphic mode directly from Windows or bootable version created by the utility is launched from CD disc or diskettes.

Using R-Drive Image, you can completely and rapidly restore your system after heavy data loss caused by an operating system crash, virus attack, or hardware failure.

You can also use the app for mass system deployment when you need to set up many identical computers. In other words, you can manually setup one system only, create an image of the system, and then deploy it on all other computers, saving your time and costs.

If you need to restore only certain files from a disk image, you can connect that image as a virtual disk and copy those files directly from the disk image using Windows Explorer or any other file utility.

R-Drive Image is one of the best backup and disaster recovery solutions to prevent losing your data after a fatal system failure.

What's new in this version:

R-Drive Image 7.2 Build 7206
Fixed
- The program showed an uninformative message when the system network went down during a backup/restore process. Fixed.
- A number of minor bugfixes

R-Drive Image 7.2 Build 7205
- Change log not available for this version

R-Drive Image 7.2 Build 7204
Improved:
- Additional certificates have been added to improve compatibility with all Windows versions

R-Drive Image 7.2 Build 7203
New features:
- The Properties tab now shows extended information on disk objects
- A new command Erase as GPT/MBR has been added. This command completely erases the previous disk partition layout and creates a new one in the alternative scheme (GPT->MBR and MBR->GPT). This operation completely deletes the old data, making its recovery possible only using data recovery software.

Improved:
- Work with could services has been significantly improved

Fixed:
- If the user selected Edit task and returned to the Tasks and Scripts panel, without editing the task, and then select Edit event, it was impossible to save the edited event
- The program didn't delete incremental files of the last backup set when the Maximum number of image files was exceeded.
- A general error message was thrown when there was not enough space for a replication image
- It was impossible to cancel a connection to a new cloud service when the computer lost connection to the Internet
- An default file name wasn't updated after after new partitions were added
- Files marked for Create image from files appeared unmarked after clicking the Back button and then selecting Create image from files again
- Some cosmetic bugs have been fixed

R-Drive Image 7.2 Build 7201
Improved:
- Image replication process is greatly accelerated: the image file is now sent to all destinations simultaneously rather then to the main image destination and then from the main destination to other destinations. This is especially important when the main destination is on a cloud service.
- Working with cloud services now doesn't immediately stops with errors when short Internet glitches occur or services generate errors. R-Drive Image tries to re-establish the lost connection or re-tries to send data to the service.
- Display of the data uploading process to cloud services has been improved. It now shows that the data is being uploaded to the cloud service, the service being used, and how much data has been uploaded.

Fixed:
- Operation progress remained on the application icon in the Task bar when the task was stopped
- The Execute On checkbox on the Options -> Notifications tab in a task lost its selection
- Several cosmetic bugs have been fixed

R-Drive Image 7.2 Build 7200
New features:
- Support for cloud services. Image files can be saved to various cloud services and restored back to the local system. Google Drive(R), Microsoft OneDrive(R), and Dropbox(R) are supported.
- Image replications. Multiple copies of the same image are saved during a single imaging process. One copy of the image file is created in the primary location, and then the file is replicated to other locations. Multiple copies of a single image file greatly improve the safety of the image.
- Differential backup of files to a folder. R-Drive Image can copy individual files to a specified folder rather than creating an image file from those files. Files are copied differentially (only changed files are copied). When specified, files deleted in the source location are also deleted in the destination location.

Improved:
- When an old image file is replaced with a new one, the old differential/incremental files are also deleted.
- New icons for external USB disks.
- Logs now show which image was deleted in the rotation scheme: full, incremental or differential.

Changed:
- R-Drive Image didn't delete differential/incremental images unless their full image was deleted, even if the age/total number of files limits were exceeded. Now it does.

Fixed:
- Disks selected for backup could sometimes become unmarked while editing a task.
- When editing a task, it was impossible to create two or more custom date intervals.
- The progress bar was shown incorrectly when a sector-by-sector image was being restored.
- The program update would generate an error message when the program's support had expired. Now the program warns the user about an invalid key for the new version and offers to install the new version separately or in trial mode.
- Several cosmetic bugs have been fixed
