What's new in this version:
Added control of the core voltage for reference design models: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030, NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN Xp, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
Added support for Tesla Compute Cluster.
The abstract hardware layer was reworked, which allowed the memory temperature sensors to be implemented through direct access to the GPU core voltage (AMD Vega 10 SMC) in addition to the external temperature sensors on the I2C bus.
Added support for AMD Vega 10 family processors.
Added voltage control of Vega core via SMC.
Added graphics monitoring power GPU Vega.
The schedule of monitoring of memory HBM in video cards Vega is added.
- Added linear fan control for Vega reference cards (usually a nonlinear percentage display of the fan speed depending on the load, but Vega does not support this mode)
- Improved accuracy of displacement calculation and voltage programming on AMD Fiji, Ellesmere cards. The minimum offset is 200 mV
- Fixed memory controller and GPU memory stick in AMD Radeon RX 500 series cards on driver 17.6.1 and newer
- The redesigned voltage control layer facilitated extreme overclocking of MSI cards with Quad Overvoltage technology
- Improved 5-channel temperature monitoring module, supporting up to 20 independent sensors on the video card
- Added support for new sensor control technologies in the MSI GTX1080Ti Lightning Z graphics card
- Improved database format
- Implemented a new algorithm for determining I2C devices, accelerated application launch on devices with several voltage or temperature sensors
- Improved functionality of voltage management by third-party developers with the possibility of advanced calibration and mapping of sensors
- Added support for the AMD Overdrive Next X2 API in the AMD Crimson 17.7.2 driver
- The unofficial overclocking method does not work for the AMD Crimson 17.7.2 driver
- The improved PCI bus scanner provides low-level access to the GPU for a secondary video card in Crossfire
- Fixed a crash when MSI Afterburner was launched on AMD Hawaii
- Fixed bug with incorrect display of chart properties
- Improved voltage / frequency curve editor for NVIDIA cards compatible with GPU Boost 3.0
- The usability and stability of the hardware monitoring module is improved by adding the basic functionality of the monitoring libraries from the original RivaTuner . So, monitoring of frequencies and temperatures of modern processors of Intel and AMD is added
- Added a benchmark tab that uses the hidden engine in RivaTuner Statistics Server
- Added ability to control the view of the OSD with the ability to switch between classic and columnar information display. The built-in editor allows you to customize the output information
- There was an opportunity to display parameters in the OSD in the form of text or graphics, which is useful for visualizing the history
- The original task planner returned from RivaTuner ! Now you can set the minimum and maximum thresholds for any graph, and its achievement will cause some urgent action, including sound notification, color change, launch of any application or system shutdown
- The original extension plug-ins from RivaTuner have returned! Now you can add monitoring charts to third-party modules, or create your own. These plug-ins can use the full set of low-level Afterburner settings. The package includes plugins SMART.dll for demonstration of SMART attributes; PerfCounter.dll for showing the principles of importing performance counters from the OS; AIDA64.dll for displaying the readings of the power sensors from AIDA64; HWInfo.dll for importing data from HWiNFO32 / 64, etc.
- Improved profile architecture. Now MSI Afterburner can store the settings of the monitoring module in the profile slot, which allows you to switch between different OSD configurations on the fly using hot keys
- Added support for macros to create unique log file names
- The order of display of properties of monitoring and schedules is changed. Also there was an opportunity of resetting the order of the graphs to the default by the menu command from the right mouse button
- The maximum frame time limit for the graph is reduced to 50 ms (20 fps)
- The drag-n-drop function was introduced to create the order of the monitoring schedule
- Improved the functionality of group selection of graphs using the keys <Shift> and <Ctrl>
- The system information window has been improved. Now information about using the attributes 3D API , x64 and UWP is displayed for each running process
- The installer now saves the installation path
- RivaTuner Statistics Server has been updated to version 7.0.0
