LG Dual Controller

LG Dual Controller is application software that lets users control multiple Windows and Mac systems using the shared keyboard and mouse attached to one computer.



It is designed for the people who often use more than one system which is placed near to each other. With Dual Controller Software, users can share a single keyboard/mouse across a set of systems (Windows/Mac).

The software is packaged as an Install Shield installation package. Please install the latest package of LG Dual Controller on all of the devices you are using. Supported OS: Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit, Service Pack 1), Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows 11.

More often than not, you're working with multiple sources of content. And LG’s dual controller feature lets you connect to computers to your monitor and control both devices with just 1 keyboard and mouse. Dual controller lets you see more, do more with a whole new level of efficiency.

For openers, you'll have to download LG's dual controller tool for PC onto both devices attached to your monitor.

Next, connect both your computers to your UltraWide monitor. LG Dual Controller app can be used with HDMI, display port, or a thunderbolt connection. Just as long as at least one of the computers is connected via HDMI.

So you'll need an appropriate cable for each computer. Also important to remember, both computers must be connected to the internet. Because the two are connected via an IP address.

How to download and install Dual Controller

• Go to the Software and Drivers page on LG's website.
• Under Product Selection, choose Monitors.
• Example: Screenshot of LG.com Software and Drivers page with "Monitors" selected.
• In the Search by Model Number field, enter your product model and press Enter.
• Navigate to your model's page, and download the file that matches your operating system (Windows or Mac).
• Locate the downloaded file in your Downloads folder, decompress it, and follow the installation instructions.

How to Use

Check your network connection.

Make sure that the PCs you want to control through keyboard/mouse sharing are connected to the same local network via a router.

• An LG monitor that supports Dual Controller must be connected to the PC that will be run in Main PC mode.
• Both computers must be on the same network.
• Only one user on a network can use Dual Controller.
• Dual Controller may not work properly when playing games.

Run this program on the PC in Main PC mode.

Run this app on a Sub PC in Sub PC mode.

Click the [Apply Dual Controller] button on the Main PC.

The Sub PC is automatically searched for on the Main PC mode screen.

How to Use Dual Link-Up (Picture-By-Picture Function)

• Connect the monitor to two input sources.
• Press the joystick button on the bottom of the monitor.
• Enter PBP.
• Adjust the settings according to the input sources connected.
• Picture-By-Picture is applied.
