Hiren's BootCD PE - ISO2USB is a lightweight boot manager and USB hard drive utility that can help anyone to create a bootable drive in mere seconds.

Built from the ground up to be as fast and simple as possible, ISO2USB requires users only to plug in a target USB stick into their PC, choose an ISO that will be copped to it, and select just a few options before the process of the creating a bootable external drive can begin.

This app is useful not only to anyone in need of a bootable USB drive but also to users of the Hiren's BootCD PE -  the popular backup and recovery solution that is distributed online as a comprehensive ISO package that host not only Windows 10 OS, but also an incredible variety of accessory drivers and useful freeware apps for hardware troubleshooting, system maintenance, antivirus checks, backup and recovery, and much more.

ISO2USB is distributed online as a portable application that has no automated installer and uninstaller. Weighing just 1.5 MB, anyone can quickly download it to their local storage (or even external drive) and fire it up directly whenever they need to create a bootable USB drive.

The app user interface is incredibly simple, featuring only a small window with few tools for managing ISO burning procedures.

This includes picking of the target USB device (dropdown menu will list all detected USB drives if more than one is present), a drive label text box, location of the ISO file (which can be typed in manually or found with the mouse using the browse tool), and two checkmarks for Formatting the drive and copying the ISO content to the USB Device. Starting of the procedure is done with the large “Process” button. The app features no other configuration menus.

Hiren's BootCD PE - ISO2USB is available for anyone for FREE on any modern versions of Windows OS, including Windows 7, 8, 10 (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions) and Windows 11.

How to Use

1. Download Rufus tool

Download the latest version of Rufus from its official website or FileHorse.

Insert your USB flash drive into your computer and open Rufus.

2. Activate Dual UEFI/BIOS Mode

Press ALT+E in Rufus to enable the "Dual UEFI/BIOS" mode.

Verify the message "Dual UEFI/BIOS mode enabled" appears at the bottom of the window. (This setting is saved in Rufus, so you won’t need to enable it again later.)

Note: Activate "Dual UEFI/BIOS" mode before selecting the ISO file to ensure FAT32 formatting is available.

3. Select the ISO File

In Rufus, select your USB flash drive under the "Device" dropdown.

Click "SELECT" and choose the HBCD_PE_x64.iso file.

4. Choose Partition Scheme and File System

Set Partition scheme to MBR.

Set File system to FAT32.

For USB drives 32 GB or larger:

Select "Large FAT32" as the File system. If "Large FAT32" is not visible, press ALT+L to enable "Force Large32 formatting".

5. Set Volume Label and Start

Enter a name for your USB flash drive in the "Volume label" field.

Verify all settings, then click "START".

Accept any warning messages to begin the process.

Note for Rufus v4.6 or later: Ignore the "Revoked UEFI bootloader detected" warning by clicking "OK" to proceed.

6. Wait for Completion

The process takes about 10 minutes, depending on your USB flash drive's write speed.

Your USB flash drive is now ready with Hiren's BootCD PE!
