Fears to Fathom for Windows 11/10 is an exploration-based horror video game that transports the players into various environments filled to the brink with dread, horror atmosphere, and dynamic events that can quickly make players afraid.

The first free episode is titled Home Alone, and it follows the 14-year-old protagonist Miles who will have to employ all of his inventiveness and problem-solving capabilities to survive a single night in his empty home.

While this episode is completely free to play, all the upcoming downloadable episodes of the Fears to Fathom anthology will require a premium payment for download.



The game features a stylish visual style that with photo-realistic graphics, a creepy atmosphere, and a solid audio component.

During the length of the short campaign, players will progress the story by solving various problems in a linear way, with players receiving narration from Miles or text messages on his phone at each story checkpoint.

While the game lacks any kind of randomized or non-linear element, it does manage to provide a solid horror story that players will easily remember for a long time.

After the events showcased in the Home Alone chapter, players are free to purchase any of the available anthology stories set in this horror universe.

In early 2025 when the staff of FileHorse reviewed this gaming title, the independent developers at studio Rayll managed to release two additional chapters – Episode 2 “Norwood Hitchhike” which places players in a remote motel, and episode 3 “Carson House” set in an empty home of a media personality.
