Contraband Police is a free demo of the upcoming action simulation game that places players in the boots of the border patrol officers who are tasked with monitoring the border of the fictional communist country of Acaristan.

Realized in full 3D and utilizing the first-person perspective, this innovative title can engross both casual and hardcore players with its wide array of unique in-game tasks and missions. As the name of the game describes, the player's core mission is following border crossing procedures for detecting various types of contraband.

Any player who has always wanted to feel the power of the border-crossing inspector will find an incredible amount of fun in this title. Since it is a simulation title, the developers from the studio Crazy Rocks have invested a significant amount of effort in not only visually crafting this appealing game world but also providing players with a wide array of tactics to detect suspicious travelers who are crossing the border.

This starts from investigating their visual appearance, personal and business documents that may hide inaccuracies that point to the presence of contraband, and of course detailed procedures of inspecting cargo on their vehicles. This even includes a manual search of their cargo, and detection of hidden compartments in boxes, barrels, suitcases, and many other items.

But finding a suspicious person and their contraband is just one part of the life of the successful border crossing inspector in Contraband Police. Once contraband is found, players have the power to detain people, send them to a nearby temporary prison, and even spend time personally driving them to the larger prison facility located away from the border. In fact, the game offers players the ability to freely roam across the large map and fully immerse themselves in the lifestyle in fictional Acaristan.

The best feature of Contraband Police is without a doubt its 3D engine that renders all environments, characters, and player movements with great detail. However, this detail does not mean that gamers will need to have a strong gaming PC to experience it. The game requires a very reasonable set of PC components, with recommended configuration demanding 12 GB of Ram, NVidia GTX 1050 graphic card, and 6 GB of available storage space.

Minimum System Requirements
  • OS: Windows 11/10 (64-bit versions only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600 @ 3.3 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.2 GHz or equivalent
  • Memory: 12 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or AMD RX 560 (3GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 12 GB available space
As of the time of the writing of this review, Contraband Police is not fully released to the public, but players from all around the world can try its FREE demo right now.
